diva talk

I figure in order to get things off to the right start and to avoid any possbile confusion in the future I'd like to share some of the frequently used words that you will likely come across on I'm Not Really a Diva.

b scott {bee-sk-ot; noun/adj}
one of the fiercest and most fab-u-lous personalities on the 'net; known for speaking his mind and his enviable dance moves (gotta love the 'paw paw') and bouncy hair; known for the saying 'love muffins,' 'double kisses' and 'splendifirous'.

example {adj}: Did you see that guy? He remids me of b scott.

Note: it's implied when speaking to my girlfriends that if I say someone 'reminds me of b scott' that I think he may be a little feminine and quite possibly on the d-low. (I'm very aware that b scott is definitely not on the d-low). I cringe at the day when someone who is familliar with b scott over hears me and gives me a verbal lashing.

Note: I adore b scott.

diva* {dee-vah; noun}

ahh this is a tricky one since 'diva' has quite a few meanings - so I'll list the most commonly used definitions:
Usually a glamorous and successful female performer or personality; a distinguished female singer; an operatic prima donna; a bitchy woman that must have her way exactly or no way at all; selfish, spoiled and overly dramatic; imperious and tempermental; nowadays an overly used term to describe a 'bitch' in a less slanderous manner; high maintenance; arrogant; hard to work with; demanding; does not believe the law and accepted rules of courtesy apply to herself...

ouch!

On the other hand a diva is defined as: a derivative of devine; a female who knows exactly what she wants and how she is going to get it; street smart and wise knows what to say, how to say it and when to say it; a perfectionist; usually very successful in their craft; somebody who works harder than everybody else...

Examples: Madonna, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Whitney Houston..

*so, depending on the definition you use, I may be a diva afterall:)

fabulous {fab-yuh-lus; adj}
almost impossible to believe; incredible, astonishing, or exaggerated nature; exceptionally good or unusual.
example: we had the most fabulous dinner.

fab-u-lous {fab-yuh-lus; adj}

same as definition above but tone is especially important and it's implied that fab-u-lous is greater than fabulous.
example: that dress, the shoes, the entire outfit was fab-u-lous!

fierce {feers; adj}
being bold, displaying chutzpah, especially relating to fashion, clothes, hair or makeup; used to describe something or someone that stands out from the crowd for all the right reasons; tone of voice also matters; commonly heard from the mouths of Tyra Banks and Christian from Project Runway 4.

example: Did you see her shoes? They were so fierce. Forget her shoes, did you see Christian last night on Project Runway - he's fierce.

Am I missing a word that simply must be added? Let me know!
